About

Here is some information about me and what I have accomplished...

1995-1997
I became interested in becoming a disc jockey during my junior year of high school in 1995. At the beginning of that year I started at Bates technical college via the running start program. I studied Communication Technology to get a head start on my degree in Radio, Television, and Production, splitting my time between high school and college. At Bates I learned about on air production, such as radio broadcast, TV broadcast operation, in-house and post production. My studies also covered basic electronic theory in integrated circuits, and experience in system set-ups.

1997-1998
I went to work part time as a mobile disc jockey on the weekends for friends, as an employee of their company. I did weddings, school events, private parties, and spun at teen clubs.

1998-2001
I moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and started as a subcontract mobile disc jockey. During my time there I ran a mobile disc jockey business, SL Production, working along with city council member Chris Copstead, a long time businessman of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Working with Chris I had the honor of doing many varied events in Coeur d'Alene. I was able to provide a service to the public and at the Coeur d'Alene Resort doing weddings, boat cruises, and all kinds of school events.

1999-2001
I lived Spokane, Washington and provided my services in both Washington & Idaho as a mobile disc jockey and club DJ. By this time I had worked enough hours in the business and had slowly purchased enough of my own equipment to start my own company.

2002-2007
At the beginning of the year I moved back to Tacoma, Washington to finish my degree in Communication Technology. That's when I established Northwest Mobile Sound and Lighting. I felt the company name was appropriate since I was serving the public in the Pacific Northwest from the cities of Coeur d'Alene, Spokane, Tacoma, Seattle and Olympia, and all surrounding areas as a mobile disc jockey and club DJ.
